Liverpool FC

Liverpool FC or known as "The Reds" was founded in 1892 by John Houlding, the leaseholder (holding property) of Anfield Stadium. Anfield Stadium is the only place in which they have played during their existence but planning to move to Stanley Park in 2011.

As we said before about the "Big Four", Liverpool FC is said to be one of them. Although the club did not perform as expected in the season 2oo9/2010 in the English Premier League, but they are still one of the MOST successful English club in history. They have won 18 English League titles, 7 FA Cups, 7 League Cups, 5 European Cups and 3 UEFA Cups, an English record.

The above picture shows the current logo/badge of the Liverpool FC. It consists the city's Liver Bird as the club badge, the year of establishment and their song anthem "You'll Never Walk Alone" :D

Liverpool's current home jersey kit for 2010/2011 is designed by Adidas and sponsored by Standard Charted Bank. Liverpool FC was the first team in British professional club to have a sponsor's logo on their shirt. :D

The English League One

As you all know, League One is a part of The Football League. The "Coca Cola" logo is their because Coca Cola is their current main sponsor. Over the years, this league had various name changes. It was called Division Three(from 1920-1921), Division Three North/South(from 1921-1958), Division Three(from 1958-1992), Division Two(1992-2004) and since then, it is called The Football League One.

The rules are similar to typical football and English Leagues. There are altogether
24 teams competing in this league. Promotion to The Championship is the same as how to get promoted to the Premier League from The Championship.

Here are the teams currently in The Football League One:
  1. Brentford
  2. Brighton & Hove Albion
  3. Bristol Rovers
  4. Carlisle United
  5. Charlton Athletic
  6. Colchester United
  7. Exeter City
  8. Gillingham
  9. Hartlepool United
  10. Huddersfield Town
  11. Leeds United
  12. Leyton Orient

Remember The Football League? Well, The Championship is part of it along with League One and Two. Although The Championship is the sixth richest league in Europe, teams still cannot qualify for European Cups as teams must be at the country's top-flight league(e.g. The Premier League).

I think that's enough information for one post, wait till the next post is uploaded. Thank you for reading! :)

p.s. edits will be made soon.
